Minnesota Modernism: Architecture of the Recent Past, 1945-1970
This project evolved out of a survey of modernism in Minnesota, presented at a one-day symposium, "The Future of the Modern Past," sponsored by the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota, in May 2006. With this site we hope to contribute to the knowledge and preservation of modernism in Minnesota--and beyond. Buildings included here represent the years 1945-1970, with a few outliers included for significance. Although all of Minnesota is represented, most buildings are located in the Twin Cities. We welcome contributors to post additions from across the state.
