Frank Hall started The Diner in a double garage that he had moved from the area of the Franklin-Cedar underpass to the corner of 27th Ave. S. & E. 26th Street. The original Diner served 26 guests. He subsequently remodeled & added on several times. His final remodeling was done in 2000 with seating for 125 guests. Frank Hall passed away in 2007 at the age of 87.
The building was sold sometime after 2007. The new owners of the business "Common Ground Meditation Center" remodeled the building and changed the address to 2700 - E 26th St. and as of 2013 it is in business in the remodeled "Diner" building.
