This four-plex was replaced by the 21st Avenue Lofts, which includes five townhomes and two loft condominiums. Joseph Hart wrote an essay on The Estelle; see the May 2003 Seward Profile (vol. 34, no. 2): To Estelle, with love: The ghosts of history inhabited blighted duplex. His research revealed that The Estelle was owned at one time by a woman widowed after WWII named Estelle.
