"Frankson, who acquired his wealth in the real estate business, came to St. Paul from Filmore County in 1914 after serving two terms in the state legislature. Frankson also served as Minnesota's Lieutenant Governor from 1917 to 1921. In 1922, Frankson returned to his real estate business in St. Paul. He lived and worked in St. Paul until his death, the result of a fall from a tree, in 1939. According to information supplied by a granddaughter of Frankson, he and his family lived in the house from 1914-1926. Thomas and Hannah had several children, two of whom are still living. Frankson apparently donated a herd of buffalo and deer to Como park to begin Como Zoo. He owned much land in the area, and donated the land on which Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center now stands to Bethel College" (Historic Sites Survey)

Memory

I owned the house from 1983 to 1993 and the entire interior was redone in a wonderful fashion but the nature of a home built in 1909 and using a clay tile roof (completely removed and redone by Miesen Brothers Roofing in 1984) with new cooper gutters and downspouts is that this home will need continues update and repairs to keep it the stately edifice it is.
