Confectioner Sebastian Pellegrini erected this small wooden building on East Seventh Street between Minnesota and Robert Streets in the winter of 1858. Here he operated a confectionery store and ice cream parlor, selling lemonade, soda water, and cigars. The building was torn down about 1890 to make way for a three-story brick Golden Rule Department Store building as the business district of Saint Paul developed and expanded.
