Site History

Thousands of workers gathered here for the funeral procession of Charles Luth, killed during the Pullman strike in 1894. St. Paul Public Works Commissioner Oscar Keller was indicted by a Ramsey County Grand jury for a "disloyal" speech here supporting workers during the 1917 streetcar strike.
