History
Minneapolis Public Library’s Gratia Countryman lived at 4726 Fremont from 1906-1912 with friend and associate, Marie Todd.
"[In 1906] Gratia went into debt and purchased the house- 4726 Fremont- with the hillside lots behind. She and Marie gave up their flat on Lyndale Avenue and moved into the monstrous residence, with its spacious living and dining rooms, four bedrooms, kitchen with pantry, maids' quarters, and more"
