History

"The original owner of this house was Alvina Walsh, the wife of Harry M. Walsh. They both lived at 2031 Lincoln Avenue. Harry Walsh was in partnership with Thomas W. Walsh, and their law practice was located in room 600 of the Minnesota Building. By 1942 they lived at 2020 Grand Avenue and Harry Walsh was the vice-president of the Walsh Insurance Agency. According to the city directory the house was owned by Edward L. Nolan in 1939, though his address is not listed. At that time Robert Swanson, a janitor for Kretz Realty, lived in the house with his wife Elsie." (Ramsey County Historic Sites Survey)
