This is modest two story house.

Some significant details include an "arched hood with brackets over main entrance. Decorative brickwork on chimney and at base. Gambrel roof has Grecian returns, and 2 large shed dormers. Flared eaves."

History

"The original owner of this house, which was built for $5,000, was George Allard. Allard was a driver for the St. Paul Building Material Co. and lives at 1601 W. Van Buren. Ernest L. Allard, treasurer of the company and Raymond W. Allard, inspector, also lived at 1601 W. Van Buren."
