The two story commercial building on this site was built in 1906 at an estimated cost of $3,000 for Per Persson, a grocer who both worked and lived in the building. A $900 addition was constructed in 1911 (permit #57521). A modest 1906 commercial building which serviced this residential neighborhood. The one story addition to the building curves in an unusual way along Chelton Street.
