230 Warner Avenue North. During the Prohibition Era, this home – built in 1922 -- was known as the "Silver Slipper Speakeasy" – an establishment that had the reputation of catering to gangsters and bootleggers of every variety. Eventually, Al Connoly bought the house and made it a private club, renaming it “Kings Horses”. This house is now a private residence.
