Notes: | It appears as if this house originally was Victorian in appearance with an asymmetrical design, complete with oriel windows, and delicate leaded and stained glass windows. It seems that the original porch of the house must have been replaced ca. 1910 with the present Colonial Revival style porch which has Doric columns and a broken pediment over the door. |
The original owner of this house that was built for $1,800 was F. L. Buck, the proprietor of the Hamline Ice Company who lived at 1623 Taylor Avenue. A large and rambling Victorian house which has suffered numerous additions and alterations which change its original appearance considerably.
