Notes: | Asymmetrical facade dominated by a two story squre entrance tower with groups of three rounded arched window openings. 1st floor of tower has rounded arches with vertical sheathing supported by rectangular columns and pilasters. Small rectangular Queen Anne window within entrance porch. West half of facade has 1 story slightly projecting bay window. Gable returns, cornerboards. |
The original owner of this house was a carpenter, Jacob Koenig, who lived next door at 1151 Sherburne (unless the street addresses were changed). This house has an unusual picturesque design with an interesting square entrance tower. It has been preserved well.
