This is a large brick house.

Some significant details include "symmetrical facade with steeply pitched gable roofline, Palladian attic window, porch spanning facade supported by Tuscan columns. East and west side windows each have a two story projecting bay window. Stained and leaded glass transom within porch over large fixed sash. Wood shingles in gable end. The cornice is shingled. The ends are plain boxed with molded dropcap."

The legal description is "Block 2, Lots 2 and 3, College Place, West Division"

"A large and straightforward Colonial Revival style house. It is unusual to find a house built in St. Paul by a Minneapolis builder for a client who worked in Minneapolis, particularly given the strong sense of rivalry which existed between the two cities at the turn of the century."
