The plan for this home was featured in The Architect, Builder and Decorator published in March 1894. Working with Glen L. Saxton, Charles S. Sedgwick published various plan books containing homes, churches, and stone buildings.
John T. Baxter was born in Wisconsin and moved to Minnesota when he was 21. He was a Minneapolis lawyer who had his office in the Loan & Trust Building.
History
A major rear addition incorporating an expanded kitchen, family room, laundry room and attached garage was designed by Joseph G. Metzler of SALA Architects, Inc. in 2002 and completed the following year.
